We know that for many customers, keeping our planet clean is a top priority! We want to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, conserve our natural resources, and prevent pollution from non-recyclable products.

Being a printing company specialized in printing on plastic, many get the misconception that we are the furthest from being a sustainable company. Although, at NFI Corp., our goal has been to decrease our carbon footprint over the last decade. We have not only provided more sustainable printing materials such as limestone paper and bio-degradable plastics to our customers, but we have even started using UV inks that are a much healthier option than solvent-based inks that create toxic air pollutants.

A majority of our manufacturing uses UV inks that have low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds); meaning there are fewer hazardous air pollutants that eliminate toxicity. We have heavily invested in UV LED curing technology which produces no ozone emissions, reduces energy consumption and eliminates the need for high-energy mercury vapor bulbs.

optiFLEX® ecoFOCUS™ materials maintain beautifully printed graphics and designs with vibrant colors. They are available in white, clear, and silver BOPP films with one of the most printable topcoats combined with the new V-52RE wash-off adhesive for PET recyclability.

  Additional sustainable practices NFI Corp. has increased over the past decade is a companywide recycling program. At each manufacturing station, employees have designated paper scrap stations which get put into a very large recycling bin at the end of the day so that our recycling company can pick them up.
